Quick Spring Recipes!

Y'all!

We're gardening, we're grilling, we're beginning to enjoy the bounty and pleasures of the season.

While you're grilling your favorite things, don't forget to chuck some fresh vegetables on the fire. Just a light drizzle of vegetable oil, some salt and pepper make all the difference.

My picks are squash, zucchini, mushrooms, cherry tomatoes and onions. I like to toss some minced garlic on when they come off the grill, and sometimes a sprinkle of parmesan, though they certainly don't need it. So much flavor, so little effort. And the bonus of enjoying a beautiful evening outside.

Another irresistible taste of warm weather, without overindulging your sweet tooth-

Peel, seed and slice or dice your favorite berry and melon combo, and add a big pinch of fresh herbs to shake up your taste buds.

I like golden honeydew and strawberries with fresh mint and basil, or cantelope and fresh thyme.

There's no wrong way to do it!

Get out there, enjoy yourselves, and be good to each other!
